Commercial Advertising

One of the ways to advertise your business/service/television show/product/etc. is by having a commercial air on Blueberry Bluff's Channel 9 News program. It's an easy and effective way to increase your sales and clientele base, and take your business to the next level! Read the information below to find out how you can buy a commercial spot on our news program!


What can be featured in a commercial?
--a business (i.e. Betty Baker's Donut Shop)
--a service (i.e. Roof Raiser's Party Planners)
--a product (i.e. Frosted Flakes cereal or a newly released CD)
--a television show or other production (i.e. a soap opera or movie)
--an event (i.e. a festival that sims from all over Sim Nation are invited to)
--other items are available for discussion (I'm sure we left something out!)

What's the cost?
--$500 per commercial per period

How long does it run?
--each commercial will be aired during every news program for an entire period (7 simdays)

What to send for a Business Ad:
--one image for the commercial
--text advertising business (i.e. Betty Baker's Donut Shop has the best donuts...etc.)
--where your business is located (city, address, etc.)
--website you want included
--any other information pertinent to the business or the ad

What to send for a Service Ad:
--one image for the commercial
--text advertising the service (i.e. We throw the best parties on the block...etc.)
--prices (optional)
--where your service is located (if it can be downloaded, include a link)
--website you want included
--any other information pertinent to the service or the ad

What to send for a Product Ad:
--one image for the commercial
--text advertising the service (i.e. Best darn cereal around....etc.)
--prices (optional)
--where the product can be obtained (if it can be downloaded, include a link)
--website you want included
--any other information pertinent to the service or the ad

What to send for a Television/Production Ad:
--one image for the commercial
--text advertising the service (i.e. #1 Gossip Magazine, Voted best soap opera, etc.)
--where the media can be viewed (website)
--website you want included
--any other information pertinent to the service or the ad

What to send for an Event Ad:
--one image for the commercial
--text advertising the event (i.e. Christmas Festival for all of Sim Nation!...etc.)
--prices (optional)
--where the event is located (what city, place, etc.)
--website you want included
--any other information pertinent to the service or the ad

How to send the Ad:
--email all required information and images to blueberrybluff@gmail.com , Attn: Mikolas Rankin
--include your name and the town you are from
--include the $500 payment by check if possible, made out to the City of Blueberry Bluff (sample check can be found here, but must be edited)

If you're there when news happens in your town, Channel 9 Eyewitness News wants to know about it! We feature news stories from all over Sim Nation, and we want to hear news from your town! Read the instructions below on how to send in your news stories to be featured on Channel 9 Eyewitness News.


What you need:
--a news reporter
--Your news reporter is the person in your town who interviews people, writes up the news stories, and who is shown on the air during the news.
--The Blueberry Bluff news anchor (Mayra Stark) will cue to you when it is time for your news story, so make sure the reporter is in some of the photos you submit. For an example check out our first airing of the news for Simday 1 (pictures 2, 4, and 5).
--An acceptable news reporter can be male or female, but must be of the age of adult or elder.

What qualifies as News?
--crimes such as murder, kidnapping, vandalism, etc.
--mysterious deaths, robberies, etc.
--paranormal activity
--local politics, elections, scandals, etc.
--any story that would be featured in your local newspaper

What to send in:
--between 3 and 5 pictures per story (can be fewer or less depending on the story, however the average story should have between 3 and 5 pictures)
--a detailed account of what happened per story
--a written account of dialogue if the story has an interview
--the name of your town and your reporter
--what simday the event took place on in your town

How to submit news:
--email pictures and required information to blueberrybluff@gmail.com, Attn: Mayra Stark
--please also send in a headshot of your reporter, so we may feature them on our website, preferably 100x100 (we can edit the photo if you are unable to)
--any questions you may have about becoming a news correspondent for Channel 9 Eyewitness News can also be emailed to the above address, Attn: Mayra Stark
